THE CLINICAL VAULT™
Last updated: 19 September 2026
The Clinical Vault™ provides educational material for healthcare professionals and MRCP PACES candidates. Its content is intended for learning and examination preparation only and must not be treated as patient-specific medical advice or a substitute for supervised clinical training, professional judgement, local protocols or current authoritative guidance.
MEDICAL EDUCATION DISCLAIMER
1. Educational Purpose
The Clinical Vault™ provides educational resources intended primarily for healthcare professionals, medical trainees and candidates preparing for postgraduate clinical examinations such as MRCP PACES.
All content is provided for education and examination preparation only.
2. Not Medical Advice
Nothing on The Clinical Vault™ website, in its digital products, Visual Atlases, ATLAS Simulator, Project PACES or related educational materials should be interpreted as personal medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The resources are not intended for patients to use as a substitute for consultation with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
3. Not a Substitute for Clinical Training
The Clinical Vault™ does not replace:
• supervised bedside teaching
• formal medical education or training
• clinical experience
• professional judgement
• local hospital policies and protocols
• consultation with senior or specialist clinicians where appropriate
• current authoritative clinical guidance
Learners should continue to practise clinical skills under appropriate supervision.
4. Responsibility for Clinical Decisions
Healthcare professionals remain individually responsible for clinical decisions made in real patient care.
Before applying information from an educational resource in practice, users should consider the individual patient, current evidence, local policies, national guidance and the circumstances of the clinical situation.
5. Clinical Information Changes Over Time
Medicine evolves continuously.
Guidelines, diagnostic criteria, treatment recommendations, drug information, examination formats and best-practice standards may change after educational material has been published.
Although reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate and useful educational content, users should verify clinically important information against current authoritative sources before using it in patient care.
6. Emergency Situations
The Clinical Vault™ should not be relied upon as an emergency medical service or real-time clinical decision-support system.
In an actual medical emergency, users should follow appropriate local emergency procedures, institutional protocols and professional escalation pathways.
7. Examination Preparation
The Clinical Vault™ aims to support development of examination technique, clinical reasoning, communication and presentation skills.
It does not guarantee success in MRCP PACES or any other examination.
Examination performance depends on multiple factors including clinical knowledge, bedside experience, communication skills, preparation and performance on the day.
8. Independent Status
The Clinical Vault™ is an independent educational resource.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an official publication of:
• MRCP(UK)
• the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians
• the Royal College of Physicians of London
• the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
• the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow
References to MRCP, PACES or related examinations are made solely to describe the educational context for which the resources are designed.
9. Third-Party Guidance and Organisations
Where professional organisations, guidelines, publications or third-party resources are referred to, those names and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Reference to a third-party organisation or guideline does not imply endorsement of The Clinical Vault™ unless expressly stated by that organisation.
10. Simulated Patients and Educational Scenarios
ATLAS Simulator, Project PACES and other interactive learning systems may use fictional or simulated:
• patients
• relatives
• examiners
• clinical scenarios
• examination findings
• investigation results
• conversations and responses
These simulations are designed solely for educational practice.
They do not represent real patients and must not be treated as actual clinical consultations.
11. AI-Assisted Educational Features
Certain current or future Clinical Vault™ products may use artificial intelligence or automated systems to generate or facilitate educational conversations, feedback or simulation.
AI-generated output may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent or inappropriate for a particular real-world clinical situation.
Such output should therefore be treated as an educational aid rather than an authoritative clinical instruction.
12. Simulated Clinical Findings
Clinical findings presented within simulations may be simplified, selected or constructed to achieve specific educational objectives.
A learner should not assume that simulated findings reproduce every feature or uncertainty that may occur in a real patient.
13. Patient Communication Practice
Communication frameworks and simulated conversations are intended to help candidates develop natural, patient-centred communication.
They are not scripts that must be memorised or reproduced word-for-word.
Real clinical communication should always be adapted to the individual patient, their needs, circumstances and preferences.
14. Drug and Treatment Information
Any medication, dose, investigation, intervention or management strategy appearing in educational content must be checked against appropriate current prescribing information, clinical guidance, contraindications, patient-specific factors and local policy before use in real clinical practice.
15. External Resources
The Clinical Vault™ may link to external websites, publications or services for educational convenience.
We do not control those external resources and cannot guarantee their continued availability, accuracy or content.
16. No Doctor–Patient Relationship
Using The Clinical Vault™, purchasing a product, submitting a question or interacting with an educational simulation does not create a doctor–patient relationship between the user and Dr Soham Thakur or The Clinical Vault™.
17. Professional Users
Healthcare professionals using The Clinical Vault™ remain responsible for practising within their own professional scope, competence, regulatory requirements and local standards.
18. Updates and Corrections
Educational material may be corrected, updated or revised where appropriate.
Users who identify a possible clinical error or outdated recommendation are encouraged to report it through the contact facility on theclinicalvault.net.
19. Contact
Questions regarding this disclaimer or the educational status of The Clinical Vault™ resources may be submitted through the contact information provided on theclinicalvault.net.
